On our convoluted drive from Karlsruhe to London (as part of a larger trip) we stopped off in the small village of Pressigny, France. The B&B we stayed at (Maison Massin-Perrette) was traditional and quaint with wonderful hosts. This is the view of the lake next to where we stayed. A three exposure HDR image, processed with Photomatix and touched up in Lightroom.

WW1 Battlefields VII
The final photo in my Battlefields series epitomises the atmosphere experienced in many of the memorials found. The countless white crosses, each marking a life lost. This the view of the Notre Dame de Lorette cemetery as seen from the Basilicas accompanying tower. [Taken: 11th April 2001]Friday, 13 March 2009

Paris V
I've posted this photo mainly because I am amazed at how well it turned out. This is Les Invalides in Paris as viewed from the top of the Eiffel Tower. Considering how far away the building was and how rubbish my camera was (only 3x optical zoom, plus 4x digital) this image has come out very nicely. [Taken: 20th June 2007]Tuesday, 27 May 2008
